Here are the three big penalty decisions from Dublin v Mayo

Joe McQuillan was at the centre of attention today.

THERE WERE THREE big penalty decisions that had a major impact on the result of today’s All-Ireland football semi-final between Dublin and Mayo.

First, Joe McQuillan awarded Dublin a penalty when he adjudged Mayo’s David Drake of fouling Paul Flynn.

However, it appears the foul took place outside the square.

The second saw the Cavan whistle-blower award Dublin a free-out even though it appeared that Aidan O’Shea was fouled in the square.

And, near the end of the game, McQuillan awarded a third penalty to bring Mayo right back into a game they had looked out of just minutes beforehand:
